A Little Piece of Heaven
Last month, we had some family members come and visit us for a few weeks, and it was wonderful. One afternoon we were all sitting in the yard playing and talking and just enjoying being around each other, and mom later described it as a little piece of heaven in our own backyard. And that’s exactly what it was. It was so refreshing to be able to be around family for a few weeks, and it made me look forward to my gap year even more.

A Day in Gisneyi
Sometimes you choose to drive a whole hour to get a good sandwich, salad, and smoothie, and just sit and relax by the lake for the afternoon. I love you, Gisenyi.
Sugar Cookie Cutouts
We really like holidays over here. We probably have cookie cutters for all of the different holidays/seasons that there are. Seriously. We even make St. Patrick’s Day cookies most years. Anyways, we just made all of these adorable sugar cookies for Spring, and I thought that I would share our recipe. Also, I found a new icing recipe a few weeks ago, and it is honestly the best icing that I have ever tasted. You have to try it.
