New Years Resolutions

I am not usually the type of person who sets firm resolutions at the dawn of each new year. I might make a few mental notes of things that I like to do or change, but other than that I don’t really make new years resolutions. That being said, I’d like to try this year, so here are a few things that I want to do in 2016:


-Read more books

-Learn how to make Macaroons

-Procrastinate less

-Blog more

-Go somewhere new

-Learn how to shoot and edit in .RAW format

-Write more letters

-Print more photos


What are your goals and resolutions for this year?

2015

A lot has happened within the past year. My grandparents came to visit Rwanda, I finished my junior year of high school, I went on my first solo  transatlantic flight, visited Chicago and Malibu, spent time with family and friends, got my fist job (at the cutest little Italian Ice shop), started my senior year of high school, moved into the house that we built, and turned seventeen. It’s been a great year.

And, as always, here are some pictures, because what would a year in review be without some photographs to remember it by?

Christmasy Things

I could write something really profound or inspirational in this post, but I’ll just stick with this: I love Christmas. A lot.

I Wish to go to The Festival

Last year at VVA we hosted a little festival at the beginning of December. (I posted about it here and here) Afterwards, we decided that we would make it an annual thing. So, this past Saturday, we hosted our second VVA festival, and it was absolutely marvelous. We had all sorts of games we did face painting, we made popcorn, we had an artist from town come in and display/sell some of his artwork, and I even dressed up as a clown for the first couple of hours. The majority of the people that came were our students and their parents, but it was fun to see what other people came, and where they had heard about us. It was such a fun afternoon, and I’m sad that I’m going to miss it next year.
